3G Pitch Rules
Mandatory Conditions of Use
These rules apply to all players, coaches, parents, spectators, and officials using any 3G facility operated within the Newport Junior Football League.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the venue and disciplinary action against the club.

Footwear on 3G – Mandatory Rules
The correct footwear must be worn at all times by anyone accessing the 3G pitch surface. This applies to:

Players
-
Coaches
-
Match officials
-
Any person stepping onto the pitch

The following rules apply at all times:

Anyone wearing incorrect footwear will not be allowed onto the 3G pitch
-
This rule applies equally to children and adults
-
These standards are set by the venue and enforced by the league
-
Failure to comply places future venue bookings at risk
Correct 3G footwear is:
-
A venue requirement
-
A league rule
-
A safeguarding requirement
These rules are not optional and will be strictly enforced.

What to Wear on 3G
Only the following footwear is permitted:
-
Moulded plastic studs (AG or FG)
-
Astro trainers specifically designed for 3G surfaces
The following are not permitted:
-
Metal studs of any kind
-
Bladed studs
-
Flat-soled trainers
-
Football boots not designed for 3G
Anyone wearing footwear outside of these rules will be refused access to the pitch without exception.

Where Spectators Must Stand
All spectators must remain:
-
Behind the designated spectator barriers, or
-
Behind the coned spectator areas

If a 3G pitch is fully enclosed and there is no internal spectator barrier, then all parents and spectators must remain outside of the enclosed area at all times.

Spectators are not permitted:
-
On the pitch
-
Between the pitch and the touchline
-
In technical or coaching areas
These rules are in place for:

Player safety
-
Safeguarding
-
Match control
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action against the club.

No Smoking or Vaping – Zero Tolerance
Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited:
-
On 3G pitches
-
Around the pitch perimeter
-
Anywhere within the venue once entered
This applies to:
-
Parents
-
Spectators
-
Coaches
-
Club officials
This is a venue rule and a league rule.
Any breach will be dealt with immediately.

Rubbish Must Be Removed
All rubbish must be removed from the venue immediately after use. This includes:
-
Water bottles
-
Drinking bottles
-
Food packaging
-
Tape, tissues, and all other waste
Teams and spectators are responsible for leaving all venues clean, safe, and respectful.
Failure to do so puts future venue access at risk.

Dogs – Strictly Prohibited
Dogs are not allowed under any circumstances on:

School premises
-
Any 3G football venue
This applies at all times, including:
-
Training
-
Matchdays
-
Tournaments

This rule is non-negotiable
